Ski and Snowboard Chile:
The High Cordillera - Valle Nevado, La Parva, El Colorado, Portillo, El Arpa

The High Cordillera of Chile

El Arpa is great
The high cordillera of central Chile is reminiscent of the Wasatch Range near Salt Lake City, Utah, yet the geography is on a much grander scale. The highest peak in the western hemisphere, Mt. Aconcagua (6959 meters/22,825 feet), raises above the cactus-dotted landscape of this region, which boasts some of the driest powder in South America. The mountains that host the majority of the ski areas in this area rise steeply out of Santiago, reaching heights above 3500 meters (11,480 feet). Five of Chile's main ski areas are located here: Valle Nevado, La Parva, El Colorado, Portillo and El Arpa.

Our primary base for these areas is Santiago, a bustling city that dates back to the 1500s. Santiago is a culturally exciting place, with colonial and modern architecture set against the backdrop of the beautiful Andes. From this base, we are able to adapt easily to current snow conditions and provide clients with a variety of options for skiing. Santiago and the ski centers of the high cordillera are the most accessible skiing in South America. This destination offers the most skiing in the least amount of time.
